- an individual facing allegations of assault by penetration and rape was acquitted upon a majority direction.

- in a particularly difficult, tragic case.
He acted for a bus driver who was acquitted of causing death by dangerous driving and causing serious injury to another party.
It was alleged that our client pressed the accelerator rather than the brake of the bus which he was driving, whilst at a bus stand at the bus station. The bus accelerated, shunted into the bus in front which in turn crushed another colleague to death.
He accepted that his driving was careless but not dangerous. The jury was out for two days before acquitting our client.
