Siobhain Egan acted for
  • an individual who held many millions in a U.K. bank account, which was frozen by the NCA through an Account Freezing Order, pending an extension of moratorium proceedings under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 (POCA 2002).

Barnaby Hone, of Counsel, (5 St Andrews Hill) was instructed to advise and to appear during the moratorium proceedings.

Working closely with the client, his family and Siobhain, all bank accounts were thoroughly investigated spanning over 10 years and several jurisdictions and a full audit trail of the monies was produced to the satisfaction of the NCA who then unfroze the accounts.
succeeded in
  • getting £250,000, which were frozen in 4 accounts by HMRC, returned and Account Freezing Orders revoked after a full investigation.
