Civil Cases

shotgun certificateA renowned breeder of Dexter cows had her shotgun certificate removed from her by the Police after they were alerted to concerns by a member of the public, who overreacted to remarks made by the farmer and her husband in a telephone conversation. The two day hearing of our client’s appeal was scheduled to take place at Reading Crown Court last month. However, after lengthy and skilful negotiations by our in-house firearms law expert Laura Saunsbury, the police eventually agreed to settle the appeal and reinstate the farmer's shotgun certificate voluntarily.

Our client’s daughter wrote to express her appreciation to Laura and her assistant Gary Smith for helping to resolve the situation for her mother;

“I know she is very thankful to have had both of you on her team. I know that you both put a lot of time and effort into the whole case and I understand that you get paid to do so but both of your patience with mother has been most appreciated by us all.”
