Artificial Intelligence and Technological Service Delivery

Integration of Advanced Technologies
In the performance of our legal services, we utilise advanced technological systems, including enterprise-grade generative Artificial Intelligence (AI), machine learning models, predictive coding, and automated document analytics tools (collectively, “AI Systems”). These AI Systems are deployed to enhance operational efficiency, accelerate legal and regulatory research, streamline disclosure or electronic discovery, and assist in the benchmarking and drafting of documentation.

Professional Accountability and Human Oversight
All AI Systems utilised by the firm operate strictly as supplementary analytical tools and do not substitute for qualified legal expertise. The firm maintains non-delegable professional responsibility for all work product, advice, and representations made on your behalf. Every deliverable, court submission, or piece of advice generated with the assistance of AI Systems is subject to rigorous human review, verification, and validation by a qualified solicitor prior to disclosure, reliance, or execution.

Data Sovereignty, Security, and Confidentiality
We owe a strict duty of confidentiality to you under the SRA Code of Conduct and applicable data protection legislation, including the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. To ensure the integrity of your information:
(a) Secure Infrastructure: We do not input, upload, or process any confidential client data, personal data, or matter-specific information within public, open-access, or consumer-grade AI models.
(b) Model Training Restrictions: All AI Systems used by the firm are hosted within secure, private, enterprise-grade cloud environments. We maintain strict contractual guarantees with our technology vendors ensuring that your data is completely segregated and is never utilised to train, tune, or refine third-party or public machine learning models.
(c) Data Residency: Where applicable, data processed via AI Systems remains subject to our standard data residency policies, ensuring compliance with cross-border data transfer restrictions.

Intellectual Property and Output Ownership
As between you and this firm, any intellectual property rights arising in the specific outputs generated by our AI Systems for your unique matter shall vest in accordance with our standard terms regarding client work product. The firm retains all rights, titles, and interests in its proprietary prompts, internal knowledge bases, and the underlying AI System configurations.

Ethical, Judicial, and Regulatory Compliance
The firm monitors and adheres to all prevailing judicial practice directions, Civil Procedure Rules (CPR), and regulatory guidance issued by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) and the courts regarding the deployment of AI in legal proceedings. We ensure that no AI-assisted output misleads the court, misrepresents legal precedents, or compromises the administration of justice.

Financial Transparency and Cost Structure
The efficiency gains achieved through the deployment of AI Systems are directly reflected in our project scoping, hourly estimates, or fixed-fee arrangements. Unless explicitly set out in a separate fee schedule or addendum, the firm does not pass on third-party AI software licensing fees or transaction-based vendor surcharges as disbursements or direct expenses. Our fees continue to be calculated based on the skilled professional time required to direct, review, validate, and apply these technologies to your matter.
