1. Danny Barnard, a barrister, successfully defended an individual who was acquitted by a jury, after a lengthy Crown Court trial,l having faced complex allegations of money laundering.

2. Martin Lewis of Counsel, (having been instructed by Fiona Grandy) successfully represented a defendant who made full admissions during a police interview to allegations that s/he had defrauded their employers of a sum in excess of £250,000.

The client had held a senior managerial position, and the fraud which had taken place over a number of years, was sophisticated and complex – no attempt had been made to repay the stolen monies.T he Sentencing Guidelines on such cases are very clear – the defendant was facing an immediate term of imprisonment, however as a result of Martin Lewis excellent ( and lengthy ) advocacy and mitigation, the sentencing Judge imposed a suspended sentence of imprisonment and a large POCA order .

3. Siobhain Egan successfully represented the following :

a) a respected academic accused of forgery and dishonesty ;

b) a museum curator accused of fraud ;

d) a partner in a City law firm accused of dishonesty

All of these cases were either discharged as a result of strong representations or were settled via a civil settlement.

4. Additionally Siobhain also successfully represented a banker accused of rape. As a result of skilful handling of the police interview and the ability to show that the complainants allegations were misplaced, as a result of using defence evidence found upon clients smartphone ( downloading texts /social media/photographs, Uber travel maps and Apple Pay) – proceedings were dropped after this evidence was served upon police .

5. Siobhan also represented a retired academic, who faced a historic sexual allegation, several decades old. Again, after repeated assertive strong legal representations concerning issues of identification, alibi and continuity of evidence, the prosecution was dropped by the investigating police force.
