Tony Meisels represented a client who, with one other, was accused of robbing two young women from the Gulf of their handbags outside Harrods in Knightsbridge in April this year.
The Crown’s case collapsed after the Court heard evidence that whilst only two men had approached the women, up to four men had been seen in the Mercedes Benz motor vehicle used as the getaway car. The judge directed the jury to acquit the client who was delighted with the outcome to his case, having spent months on remand in custody.
The advocate was Silas Reid of 2 Dr Johnsons Buildings.
