More Case Successes for LNL & the Reilly Brothers

justiceAce advocate James Reilly represented a client who faced two motoring allegations; firstly, driving whilst using a hand held device (a mobile phone), and secondly, driving with a flying pig ornament on the bonnet of her car. After successful legal submissions at the close of the prosecution’s case, both charges were dismissed and a defendant’s costs order awarded in favour of our client. Another delighted LNL client!

Sean Reilly also represented a client who faced an allegation subject to section 172 of the Road Traffic Act 1988 of failure to provide drivers details. The client does not read or write and his wife, who usual deals with his administration, was not present to provide the information on his behalf. After a half-day trial the client was acquitted and a defence costs order was made.

Sean and James also represented two clients in an affray matter at Oxford Crown Court. The first client was found not guilty of the affray, and the jury was discharged in relation to the second client after the prosecution confirmed they would not try him again and formally offered no evidence.
