- by a man of faith who faced a private prosecution on indictment, and allegations of coercive/controlling behavior towards his wife. It was alleged that he had refused to allow her a religious divorce.
- This is a novel development in the prosecution of such cases and was a difficult and sensitive matter for all concerned.
- As a result of in-depth negotiations between the parties, the prosecution was discontinued by the private prosecutors, because the defendant agreed to the religious divorce.
