1. She successfully negotiated with the Home office, on behalf of a well-established hotel group, a penalty of £20,000 civil penalty.
As a result of a Home Office audit focusing upon personnel working at one of the groups hotel locations, and encountered an individual who did not have the necessary work permit. The hotel group was fined but successfully appealed on the basis that the individual was a subcontractor and they knew nothing of his background, Sherry successfully negotiated to have the fine dismissed.
2. Sherry acted for property owners who were redeveloping a large commercial plot of land in Surrey, which was unexpectedly squatted by trespassers, just before expensive redevelopment work was about to begin.
Sherry secured an eviction order shortly after initial instructions from the client were received.
