Sharon Stone is a specialist senior corporate/commercial, banking and corporate recovery solicitor. She has worked for many years with leading City and Regional law firms up to partner level, in the following areas:
- Management buy-outs, mergers and acquisitions
- Corporate finance and banking
- Commercial contracts (including distribution, agency and franchising agreements)
- Terms and conditions
- Corporate reorganisations
- Shareholder Agreements and Shareholder Disputes
- Sales and purchases of companies and businesses
- Joint ventures
- Corporate Recovery and Insolvency – restructuring and reorganisation
Sharon has been described as "commercial, creative, flexible and analytical with a response time second to none, providing sound corporate legal advice and documentation".
Sharon has also been an Insolvency Advisor on the Advisory Panel of the Institute of Directors since 1996.
In addition to being a solicitor, Sharon Stone is also independently regulated as a Notary Public by the Faculty Office of the Archbishop of Canterbury. She can provide notarial services in respect of documents for use abroad such as Powers of Attorney, overseas property or probate documents, confirmation of status or academic qualifications and documents relating to international trade.
A Notary's skills include the preparation, authentication, attestation and certification of documents for use anywhere in the world. A Notary's signature and seal verifies to the authorities in any country that the documents are authentic.
The Notary also checks your capacity to sign and your understanding and willingness to be bound by the document. However, the Notary will not advise you as to the wisdom or otherwise of signing the document. If, for example, you are buying a property abroad, you would still need legal advice from a lawyer in the foreign country.
Sharon has the knowledge, flexibility and creativity to provide solutions and to perfect documents which will be acceptable in any jurisdiction.
To book a notarial appointment, please contact Sharon on 07834 652089 or email her here. Separate notarial terms and conditions and complaints procedure apply. A cost estimate will be provided upfront. You will need to bring along your passport, or other form of photo identification plus a recent utility bill, Council Tax Demand or bank statement to prove your address. If possible, please send an electronic copy of your document before your appointment so that any queries, which might otherwise cause delay, can be ironed out beforehand.
There may be third party disbursements as some documents may require an 'Apostille' - a formal stamp from the UK's Foreign & Commonwealth office, and sometimes additional certification, typically from foreign embassies in London. Sharon can also arrange these services for you.
