Press release issued by Lewis Nedas Law on behalf of those seeking to overturn their criminal convictions sustained as a result of sting operations by Mazer Mahmood (‘The Fake Sheikh’)
We confirm that we represent 6 individuals who are seeking to overturn their criminal convictions sustained as a result of so called ‘sting operations’ devised and controlled by Mazer Mahmood; the self styled ‘Fake Sheikh’ and his various associates.
We have been advising and representing these individuals since July 2014.
All of these matters are currently with the CCRC (Criminal Cases Review Commission) awaiting investigation.
We would like to congratulate our clients upon the dignity and restraint which they have exhibited throughout the criminal trial of Mr Mahmood and his co-defendant.
We also wish to make clear that our clients applications will be pursued with the utmost vigour and commitment.
