Latest successes for Lewis Nedas law Serious Crime defence solicitors

1. Miles Herman ( instructing the excellent Mustapha Hakme of Counsel ) represented one of five defendants who faced allegations of kidnapping / blackmail and false imprisonment. An acquittal on all charges was successfully secured for the client as a result of investigations and disclosure requests focusing upon the victim, which in turn enabled Counsel to make successful legal submissions concerning the admissibility of the evidence against our client.

2. Richard Demczak of our Oxford office ( instructing the superb Giles Cockings QC and our very own James Reilly - solicitor advocate ) successfully represented a defendant who faced trial at the Crown Court ,and complex allegations of Modern Slavery Act 2015 offences . Our client was quickly acquitted by the Jury

3. Tony Meisels successfully represented an individual who wished to remove his name from the SOR ( Sex offences Register ) upon appeal. Our client sustained a conviction some 16 years ago for an offence of making indecent images of children.He was subject to lifetime notification under SOR legislation. 

The Metropolitan police initially rejected the client's initial request for removal, but after instructing Tony Meisels to appeal that decision and upon receiving strong defence evidence, collated by Tony, the Met withdrew their objections. 4. Adam Shaw ( of our East London office )secured conditional bail for a client after a lengthy bail application in a serious allegation of Class A and B drugs supply - large amounts of drugs had been found by police. 
The Crown raised strong objections to bail but Adam rebutted each of their objections successfully and the Court granted bail.
