Care Home Residents Fed On £2.27 a Day

A disturbing article in the Telegraph (12 February 2012) has found that some care homes in the North West spend an average of only £3.93 per resident per day on food. The High Court has recently ordered that Septon Council must conduct a thorough assessment of care home costs after having threatened to freeze all contributions towards the costs of the elderly in care.
